Pastor Training, July 23rd and 24th
Posted by Brian on Jul 26 2009
We have completed our training sessions on Interpreting Scripture, and it seems to have gone very well. There was good attendance all three days, with an especially large crowd on the last day of the training. There was lots of good discussion and from the questions and comments I could tell that the principles that were being taught were really taking root! One of the things that I love about teaching down here is that the pastors continue to discuss the issues even on breaks or at lunch. I have shared a couple of pictures of them doing that.

This trip has been a special joy because my good friend Matt Reagan is here with a mission group from his team. It’s been good to be able to hang out and catch up.

Matt is a great guy with a great heart for ministry. I had the privilege of intently studying the Bible with him every week for several years, so he’ll always be very special to me. It’s great to see what God is doing in his life.
Continue to pray for me, please. Tomorrow morning (early) we heading over to the border with Haiti in order to teach the class again to Haitian pastors. I’m very excited about this opportunity, but it will be a challenge to communicate this material again. I’m really missing my family and friends back home, but it is good to be here and be used in service to God. I pray his blessings and peace on you!
