Supplies on their way to Haiti

Posted by Brian on Jan 24 2010

Thanks so much for all of those in the Bloomington/Normal area, and all those all across the country who are gathering supplies to send to Haiti.  I wanted to share just one example of how they are being gathered and used.

Josanne drove from Bloomington/Normal on Monday afternoon.  We had people who donated baby formula, bandages, medicines, medical supplies, etc. that Josanne loaded in the van and drove to Louisville.  There G.O. Ministries has been donated warehouse space where the supplies were unloaded.

From there they were boxed together with other supplies.  Each box has to be measured, weighed, labeled, numbered, and a manifest of what each box contains needs to be made.  Eric Leach is doing a phenomenal job of organizing this process.

And then the boxes are gathered with other supplies and bundled onto a pallet to prepare to be taken and loaded on the cargo planes.

Thanks so much for all you are doing, and the difference that it is making today in people’s lives!
